About Symless and Synergy: Our mission is to help people use multiple computers together in one seamless and cohesive experience. Since 2012, Symless has proudly developed Synergy, an app that shares one mouse, one keyboard, and one clipboard between multiple computers. As well as having over 2 million users worldwide, our product is regularly featured on top tech channels like Linus Tech Tips, a channel with over 6.7 million viewers. It's also used at some pretty neat companies like Apple, Pixar, Disney, Google, Amazon, and many more. That said, we're actually a very small company of 10 people, so you won't let lost in the crowd.

B2C and B2B Content Marketer

What about the role?
We are looking for a content marketer with experience in the software industry. The hire will need to own the marketing space generating sales and leads in a number of different verticals.

Approx 80% of our revenue comes from personal licence sales, attracting more users in this space is an important source of revenue. Around 20% of our revenue comes from selling to businesses (existing customers include Apple, Salesforce, Pixar, and Disney). However enterprise sales are a huge potential growth area and we are looking for someone who can take on that challenge.

Responsibilities:

Here are a few things you'll be doing...

  • Write engaging & sales focused content for our channels including our website, company blog, and social media accounts
  • Work with the wider UX and Sales team to optimise sales and lead conversion
  • Carry out A/B testing on the website to optimise revenue and lead generation goals
  • Seek out and write content for that resonate with our customer personas, e.g. business use case studies, white papers, reports, infographics
  • Own the marketing space in internal strategy discussions to support growing the brand

Junior Social Media Marketer

What about the role?

The main responsibility will be to own all customer engagement through our various social channels as well as contributing towards content creation. You will work with the Head of Customer Experience and engage across our teams (customer/technical support, development, and sales) to understand our users and craft messages that resonate with our users.

We are active on all the main channels and receive inbound messages every day, as well as picking up comments from users via social monitoring. These take the form of customer requests, replies to posts, opportunities for engagement and industry chatter.


Responsibilities: Here are a few things you'll be doing...

  • Manage social media profiles including Twitter, Facebook & Instagram plus others as necessary
  • Respond to customer requests and liaise with the technical support team as required
  • Escalate conversations to the relevant team members and respond appropriately
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussion about the company, industry and our competitors
  • Work alongside the marketing team to produce and distribute content that supports the wider marketing goals
  • Develop & track KPIs and report to marketing team

B2B Marketer - Strategy and Field Marketing

What about the role?
We are looking for a B2B marketer with experience in both strategy definition and field marketing and relevant experience in the software industry. The hire will need to own the B2B marketing space by taking an experimental, data-driven approach to define our B2B marketing strategy and leading the implementation of the strategy through various tactics and across different verticals and industries.

Here are a few things you'll be doing...

  • Conduct market research to define B2B customer personas and marketing strategy
  • Adopt a data-driven, 'Lean Startup' methodology to experimenting with personas and marketing strategies to validate
  • Collaborate with our Sales and Customer Experience teams to optimise lead generation and support the execution of the strategy
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and/or implement marketing activities to support the experimentation and strategy including field marketing tactics, i.e. define landing page copy, conduct customer persona research, identify potential in-person or online events such as trade shows and webinars and execute on these events
  • Collaborate with our Marketing team to generate and maintain consistent messaging for each persona on all of our channels, ie. social media, website
  • Own the marketing space in internal strategy discussions to support growing the brand for our B2B customers

Job requirements

B2C and B2B Content Marketer

We'll need you to have academic or professional experience with:

  • Designed and delivered a multi-channel B2C and B2B marketing strategy
  • Track record of content writing in various formats
  • Experience collaborating with a sales team and account manager
  • An analytical and data driven mindset always looking to make incremental improvements
  • Comfortable engaging with existing and potential customers on and offline
  • Understanding of the SaaS sales process and model
  • Experience with marketing and email automation
  • Knowledge of the software development process and methodology
  • An understanding of software applications for Windows, Mac and Linux would be helpful
  • Understanding and experience engaging with B2C and B2B customer personas (defining personas, interviewing users for personas, or similar) is ideal
  • Understanding and experience working with software and/or SaaS products is ideal


Social Media Marketer

We'll need you to have academic or professional experience with:

  • Comfortable engaging online with customers and judging the appropriate action
  • Understanding of brand voice and responding in a particular style
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and the posting style and communities behind each
  • Experience writing posts natively within the platforms as well as 3rd party tools like Buffer, Sprout Social or Hootsuite
  • Good, concise and transparent communicator who can open conversations with differing communities
  • Intuitive thinker who understands the right call to make; when to take action vs when to ask for help
  • Knowledge of the customer service process via ticket desk platforms
  • An understanding of software applications for Windows, Mac and Linux would be helpful
  • Understanding and experience engaging with B2C and B2B customer personas (defining personas, interviewing users for personas, or similar) is ideal
  • Understanding and experience working with software and/or SaaS products is ideal


B2B Marketer - Strategy and Field Marketing

We'll need you to have academic or professional experience with:


  • Defining B2B strategies for software/technology/SaaS businesses from initial concept to experimentation/validation to growth
  • Executing on B2B strategies especially field marketing, e.g. trade shows, events, webinars, including collaborating with Marketing teams to execute, e.g. defining content for webinars, conducting research for potential opportunities
  • Understanding and experience engaging with B2C and B2B customer personas (defining personas, interviewing users for personas, or similar)
  • Experience with the above in B2B industries such as finance/trading, technology and B2G sectors such as education, emergency
  • Understanding of brand strategy and relation to marketing
  • Good, concise and transparent communicator who can open conversations with differing communities
  • Intuitive thinker who understands the right call to make; when to take action vs when to ask for help
  • An understanding of software applications for Windows, Mac and Linux would be helpful
  • Understanding and experience working with software and/or SaaS products is ideal
